seeFField’s success will depend for a large part on international and domestic cooperation with institutions crucially engaged in the advancement of Southeast European studies. in Europe and beyond. Because of this, we considered it important to introduce the project to our partners and discuss further steps at an early project stage.
Online project launch with international partners
Hence, on 5 October 2022, seeFField was pre-launched (ahead of the official launch) in an online meeting with most of our international partners coming from ten countries: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Croatia, France, Kosova, Romania, and United Kingdom.
After introducing the team, Ger Duijzings (team leader) and Heike Karge (member of the Steering Board) presented the key ideas behind the project and a series of measures that will be implemented in the coming seven years of the project’s duration. In the Q&A section, the role of partner institutions, both in terms of how they can contribute and benefit from the project, were discussed.
Our next meeting with partners is planned for 2023 on the occasion of the first Southeast European Studies Forum.
