Clitic doubling is a concept in linguistics, specifically in syntax and morphology, that refers to the repetition or "doubling" of a clitic — a type of word that attaches to another word (usually a noun or verb) and doesn't stand alone. It's a trait that occurs not only in the "Balkan Sprachbund" languages, but also in Romance languages, for example.
