Our project leader, Professor Ger Duijzings, is spending the month of July at KROKODIL’s Residency in Belgrade. As part of his stay, he will participate in a public discussion at the KROKODIL festival on Saturday, 4 July at 12:00 PM, titled “From Srebrenica to Gaza: From Legitimation to Denial.”
The conversation brings together regional experience and contemporary global crises to examine the line between historical fact and its deliberate relativization and erasure. Ger Duijzings will be joined in conversation by two regional experts in the fields of history and the memory culture: historians Dubravka Stojanović and Olga Manojlović Pintar, with the discussion moderated by researcher Snežana Stanković. The event will be held in English.
K.R.O.K.O.D.I.L., an acronym for: Literary Regional Gathering That Alleviates Boredom And Lethargy, has been one of Southeast Europe’s most distinctive cultural platforms since 2009, dedicated to dialogue, reconciliation, and civic engagement across the Western Balkans and beyond.
Professor Duijzings’s residency is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
